Teaching ESP Online: A Guide to Innovation in the Aftermath of the Covid-19 Crisis

The paper studies the student experiences related to online teaching of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in order determine which computer-mediated learning practices were perceived as purposeful and should be incorporated traditional in-person teaching. sample comprised 60 students from two faculties University Belgrade, Serbia. Descriptive statistics obtained. gathered data subjected qualitative quantitative analysis. results indicate that positive are primarily synchronous conferencing form real-time written communication an integral part classes offered via videoconferencing. use video content availability various materials uploaded platforms proved helpful. Loss concentration, technical difficulties a lack obstacles effective learning. most salient conclusion study refers necessity incorporating comment writing classroom. also urge need addressing issues large inadequate auditoriums mode conclusions provide guidelines improvement ESP based on specific found facilitative development students’ language competencies.
